Not a steakhouse and it’s a chain, but I will say the prime rib I had at J. Alexander’s recently was perfect.

Is it the oldest location still in operation?

I don't know if that would have anything to do with it, but I'd suggest it might at least play a small part in their adherence to certain standards.

This board seems to hate Stab's Prime but, we had a great time there. Steaks were great, crab cake was probably the best i've had.

What happened to Fleming's? It always used to run a close 2nd to Ruth's, and for a time, was sometimes ranked above.



Can't believe it hasn't been mentioned yet.

It was never even close in my opinion. Basically Sullivan’s but not as fun.
