Best way to make at home without risking burning my house down

Follow the instructions and you’ll be fine. The flame pretty much goes out on its own in short order, but you can keep a lid nearby and put the lid on if you get nervous.
You could just cook the liquor in the sauce for longer without lighting it, but that’s no fun.

I'm not meaning this to sound pedantic, I'm checking my memory... "sans" means without, right? So if you're making it "sans" flambé, you don't have to worry about the flames.

do you have a torch? Make the sauce seperatly and brulee the bananas.
