Has anyone tried these? They're easy to prepare.

It's called rumaki, and makes the perfect orderve for a New Year's Eve party.

The secret is spreading garlic salt on the individual livers, wrapping with a bacon strip, and broiling in the oven for 8 minutes. Serve with toothpicks.

I think I remember having them as a kid. I think mom called them angels on horseback.

Sometimes when I barbecue I'll make what I call "Cajun Rumaki" I cut some bacon into squares and add it with some chicken livers and Jack Millers into a pan and let it cook on the grill. When it's cooked I mash everything together and spread it on garlic bread, it's really good.

Rumaki is bacon wrapped around chicken liver and a water chestnut. Angels on horseback (why do the Brits let Mary Poppins name their dishes^) is an oyster wrapped in bacon.

This is it...An added touch is to marinate the liver in teriyaki..

I remember getting Rumaki as an app at the Chinese restraunts. I don't really ever see it offered anymore. I like it too, good stuff

That's more of a Cajun paté de foie gras.

The pics are no longer hosted, but I did a thread on this a few years back. I like the crunch of a thin disk of water chestnut in the mix.
