Ramen Tatsu-Ya is awesome asian bbq fusion.

Any good pizza recs?

Home Slice is very good but may be slammed. It's not worth a long wait.

Pinthouse
ABGB
Via313 (detroit style) is awesome but they get pretty crowded too.

If you want a more local experience with some awesome pizza, hit up Little Deli & Pizzeria on Woodrow.

Is it slammed on a weeknight? We’ll be there Sunday through Thursday.

Is DeSano worth the stop? We are staying close to there.

Never been to DeSano. Backspace pizza is in the area and is fantastic.

Didn’t realize DeSano was a chain. Will probably skip. Backspace looks cool, but maybe too fancy for my kids. Will probably just try Home Slice. Maybe it won’t be too busy. Does one location get busier than the other?

The Congress location has a sit down restaurant next door to a take-out/walk up location (called More Home Slice). Lots of foot traffic. You can order online. There are tables to eat at.

The north location is a sit down restaurant in a neighborhood area. Gets really crowded. There's an outdoor area too.

Thanks for the info. Pinthouse looks like my kind of spot, but wife will box it because no wine. Or I didn’t see it mentioned in their menu/site.

Ramen Tatsu-Ya

I'd add Launderette, Loro, and Kemuri Tatsu-ya to everything listed.

DeSano is awesome. It's hardly a chain. I think 6 locations in the country? But that being said, if you have small kids...I'd skip. Their pizzas are pricey and more catered to adult tastes. It's worth the price if just for adults though.

Pinthouse can get busy too depending on when you go but it shouldn't be too bad Sunday - Thursday. It's family style seating and kid friendly.

Little Deli is BYOB btw but there's a small neighborhood grocery store in the same parking lot with good selection of wine and beer.
