ATTN: SmokersPosted by gumbo2176 on 1/13/21 at 7:40 am

Just saw this ad in the morning paper that Rouses has whole USDA Choice briskets on sale for $1.99 lb. At that price, they will be untrimmed, but still a hell of a deal.
Hell of a deal if you want to smoke one this weekend.

Thought there was a sale on cartons.
I gave up smoking 19 years ago now and went cold turkey from a pack and a half a day habit.
You could give them away and I'd not take one, but to each their own. I'm not one of those hypocritical, holier than thou crusaders who harangue smokers.

Nice price, but ad wording is Whole Boneless Brisket.....
Are briskets ever sold with bones?

I've never seen one with bones----but they do always have a big fat cap when sold untrimmed and you can expect to lose about 3 or more lbs. in weight depending on how close you trim off the fat cap.

After a contract holdup, Nielsen is getting a new deal in New Orleans.
What is he thinking?
