$14.83 and hour for H2A labor is more than double the American minimum wage of $7.25 an hour. Try again

Just stop. You aren’t winning whatever stupid battle you think you are in.
I’m sure you get your pathetic talking points at the plant and at the deer camp.

They really should stop with the dumb excuses and just tell the truth. Prices are high and will only go higher because most of them are shipped out of state. Simple as that. They will never go down again. Only up.

So you think prices this year will be higher than last year?

Why were prices in 22-23 lower than the previous 3 years?

They won’t come back to respond now that you’ve put facts here.

don’t get your hopes up. It’s too profitable for farmers and retailers to keep prices high. Start considering crawfish a luxury

You realize that Louisiana is 95% of the crawfish industry, of course product will get shipped out of state. You think Idaho should keep all their potatoes in state? You think California should keep all the pistachios? Don’t like it go catch your own crawfish. It’s an easy fix

Prices this time last year boiled were $15+ a pound. Today they are $8-$9 a pound.

“Prices are high and will only go higher because most of them are shipped out of state”.

It’s like people don't even check their own facts anymore.

If you have a job. If you have an EBT card you can consider them a necessity

No shite sherlock but in the last 20 years shipping has become much easier thus more and more goes out and keeps prices higher. I have no problem with the price or shipping outside the state. I said quit coming up with new excuses like they do every single year.

What excuses have you seen this season dipshit? Because prices for December have been been way lower than last years and lower than 2023. People are just bitching to bitch.

I mentioned this earlier in the thread. This is the wholesalers and not the fisherman. The wholesalers have figured out they can make more money for less work/overhead to ship out of state.

Instead of them spending sun up to sun down selling 5-10 sacks to every mom and pop place in Louisiana they can sell the whole truck of 200 sacks at 1 location and be home in time to catch the evening news. .
