It was my sister-in-laws birthday and my stepdaughter and I ran over to Slidell to take her to lunch for her birthday.
I've only been there once about a year ago and liked the place and food. Everything we got was very good and getting there just before noon found the place just getting started for the day.
My sister-in-law got the Crabmeat Au Gratin with a side of baked mac and cheese, my stepdaughter got the eggplant medallions with lump crabmeat, pasta and a rich white cream sauce and I got the seafood platter. All meals also came with a salad. We had tea all around, so no alcohol that early in the day for us.
Like before, the food was excellent and I'd recommend it as a place to try if seafood is what you're craving. Oh, and the bill came to $60 with tax, which is reasonable for the quality and amount of food we were served.

Isn't Phil's related to Salvaggio's (sp?)?
There used to be a restaurant called Salvaggios on US11 just south of Oak Harbor. Destroyed by Katrina and was never rebuilt. Very good restaurant.

I almost got that shrimp special. Two dozen fried with fries and a salad for $12. The shrimp on my seafood platter were good sized and cooked to perfection, as was all the other seafood involved.
