BFHS alumnus. I actually enjoyed his set.

Totally concur with your thoughts on the Nevilles concert. Thankfully, The Meters came to the rescue on Sunday.

yeah they were way out of the way if you weren't at Gentilly

Our baw Zeb's been catching big cats on a trout line behind his house on the Tchefuncte.
He cleaned this one up and we had it Sunday:

oh my lord, I think I just came
I've been craving some good fried catfish lately. no one seems to do it right over here. and the GOAT cypress inn in bossier just isn't the same after the fire.

Guy cleaning that one played rugby with me an arse at LSU.
He's a good dude.
Give ya the shirt off his back, and half of a freakin huge catfish he just got done cleaning as well. The catfish will probably be cleaner than the shirt though. He seldom showers.

You can't trust me with a knife.

Even though it's not going in Better Homes and Garden, it was good.
I'd eat it again. Most people aren't dishing it up thinking it's gonna get critiqued. They're just hungry.

Y'all should just add to the rewind each week.
It doesn't have to be pages of people bitching and being sarcastic (not saying you're doing that). If you've got something to share you'd like everybody to see, put it in here. The rewind can be for everybody IMO. Not just the OP.
Since the dining guide is gone, this thread has the potential to really inform lots of people about places they've visited recently in New Orleans or wherever they may be, dishes they've prepared, or parties they attended with visuals of authentic meals prepared by friends, family, or local chefs.

Beyond true. I walked in the "new" location in the strip mall a few years ago and basically did a u-turn.

I mostly worked out, in the gym. I was very fit.

I made some good arse filets Sunday. Picked up some prime at central market and seared them on the cast iron. Had some baked potatoes with them. It was fricking good.
