Are there currently any great fine dining restaurants in Memphis?

I will be spending the holiday in Memphis and I was wanting to take my mom out to a nice meal.

It seems like Flight and Restaurant Iris are the two most commonly recommended...worth it? Something else?

She is not a steakhouse person so not that.

My wife LOVED Automatic Slim's Tonga Club, across from the Peabody. Looks touristy outside, but its a Martini Bar and the food was great. She's usually not that complimentary of restaurants, but this was different. Now its here must do when in Memphis. And since you're treating Mom, go to Brother Juniper's near UofM for breakfast.

Andrew/Michael, Iris and Erling Jensen’s are the top fine dining restaurants. NOT Flight - it is ok but is not fine dining IMHO.

If you’re limited to downtown Memphis, then Catherine & Mary (sister restaurant to Andrew/Michael) and Felicia Suzzane’s are two good options.

I like Flight a lot, but if you want some more options I also really liked Itta Bena on Beale Street.

Ate at Felicia Suzanne recently and was a little underwhelmed. Iris is still my favorite.
