Had some last night....did not know the Chinese had gotten into the wine making business. Very good, a bit pricey but good

Honestly it’s a big world and there are probably thousands of places with great growing conditions that haven’t been tapped yet.

A friend imports in wine from France for a living. We were at dinner Saturday night and he ordered this bottle. I had the same reaction most would have but I tried it and it was very good. The price point is steep (250.00) Apparently the Chinese are now the largest consumers of wine and there are regions in North Central China that are ideal. The French are there helping to develop it.

I believe the US is still leading in imports, but China has been growing the last few years.

Does all the lead in it make it more filling than say a French Cabernet?
