My wife wants new cookware and really likes the made in commercials. They’re very highly rated online, but that’s easily faked. Anyone have experience with them?

I like that they’re made in America and have nice looking aesthetics, but if they don’t cook right they’re useless.

My sister has a skillet and loves hers. Hopefully they are good, I put some on my wedding registry

Outstanding cookware! Used by quite a bit of high level chefs. A bit pricey on the retail side, but really well made.

Bought one. Like it ok. Not as flat bottomed as our Travontina and we have electric cook top. Will not be buying more.

I have a non-stick and the carbon steel pan. Use them both regularly. Great stuff.

I find it doesn't cook even and cooks hotter than my other pans. Maybe because it is a better made pan, I don't know.
This is just my experience.

Gas or electric? We just switched to gas and there’s a bit of a learning curve.

Interesting. If she burns the roux, I’m going to be pissed

I am sure they are fine for most people. I have been using calphalon for so long that is what I am used to. I really don't cook on the stove very often. I have a couple of ceramics that I use and cheap skillets for eggs and such.

Just got the 10" nonstick a few months ago, and it really is the best nonstick pan I've ever had. I highly recommend it.

I have not tried any of their other items yet, so I can't comment on that.

They work well with induction cooktops, right? I might get one for occasional use.

We bought 3 pieces.

A 12" carbon steel fry pan because we didn't have one
An 8" nonstick pan because ours was wearing
A 12" SS clad pan with lid because we often need two.

All our other SS pans are All Clad.

I found the made-in clad cooks somewhere between our D3 and D5, closer to the D5. But our copper core All Clad is still our favorite SS pans. I will rebuy their carbon and non-stick* but we have decided only All-Clad copper core** for SS in the future. If you are comparing to D3 or D5 the made-in is a better/equal option for less money.

*I really wanted to try the Hexclad non-stick because I love the idea of it but just can't due to the country of origin.

** the All-Clad copper core is expensive AF but is a lifetime purchase which hopefully gets passed down and enjoyed for generations until Star Trek food replicators or Soylent Green become standards.

Thanks! February 10th, I'll be waiting for your review. This thread is very useful. I originally just chose the stainless frying pan to put on the registry, but some of the comments have me second guessing. Wondering if I should be going with the nonstick now.

All-Clad copper core** for SS

I use the same. It does a fantastic job. I used to have AC nonstick pans, and I genuinely find the Made In better. I was never a big fan of the AC nonstick, at least not for the price I paid. The MI cooks incredibly even and it genuinely does not stick.
