Haven't been this year, but have been many times in the past. I like the Franziskaner Dunkel. Prost.

The 40 Arpent festbier has been great the last couple years...usually can find it in the back of the grounds on the right side. Don't think they sell it at the large booth in the front.

I really hope they get their own new place soon. That's really a great organization and being able to bring the event back to NOLA and host other things in their own hall will be nice

This one was good but on the lighter side.
I didn't care much for the Urban South Octoberfest.
The food is good too. If you can try the 3 sausage plate or the pizza looking thing.

Question: Does anyone know where to find Hacker-Pschorr in NOLA on a regular basis? I fell in love with it Munich. Also, Weihenstaphan. Thanks.

Dorignac's has a huge selection of German beers
Plenty of Weihenstephaners, Ayinger, Hacker-Pschorr, Augustiner (best of the big six IMO), even Andechs stuff which I rarely see.
