How was it? FAQ's say it's free. If so, talk about clutch. I may try it tonight

They go to the restaurant, get your grub, and deliver it to you for no fee.

Who pays for the delivery?

I don't get it. I guess they could be paying the delivery guy shite and letting him make money on tips, but how much do you think the average restaurant is really willing to "pay" this company.
Margins are very low anyway and with no alcohol and probably not a lot of drink orders in general on a to-go, it seems like a tough situation for the restaurant to want to cut deals.

Not sure.. But they have quite a few restaurant options available.

All I have available is "demo diner".

I think it originated in lake Chuck. Lafayette may be its only other city.

We have Chef Taxi up here in NELA. There's no app, and they charge us.

Correct. It's blown up here the last 6 months. Last I checked the android app still wasn't ready. I've ordered off of people's iphones at work though. Very clutch.

I used Waitr app this morning to get Nelson donuts delivered to my door. Took about 20 minutes from when I ordered til I got the delivery. I don't know if I could have driven there in that time. Love it so far.
I hear they are focused on extending service to Lafayette, Baton Rouge, Nola and Houston. I'm sure there will be some growing pains.

Is there a minimum order amount? Can I order a $6 sandwich and have it delivered for free? Somebody is getting screwed here between the restaurant, Waitr, or the delivery guy, possibly all 3.

I don't know if there is a minimum order, but the end customer pays a flat rate of $4.99 for delivery, so that sandwich is a $11.99 sandwich. But I don't mind paying for delivery if I really don't want to leave the house.

That makes it completely different now. Still, 4.99 isn't too bad on a large order.

Waitr has gone live in Baton Rouge and they do have an android app now. I'm sent lunch (City Pork) to some customers in Baton Rouge the other day- they loved it.

I've used Favor here in Houston. Took about 45 minutes to from the time I ordered my food till it was delivered.
I think it's great if you're hungover on the couch on a Sunday, but the delivery surcharge is outrageous-$7-10 bucks in addition to your food/tip. I think I'd only use them again if I had a promo code to knock off the delivery charges.
Uberfood however is the tits. If your city doesn't have it, protest in the streets until you get it.

Waitr is in Houston too- but in its infancy there. I think they have about 7-8 restaurants currently.
