Does anyone own a Traeger? They look like an incredible grill but I am hesitant on pulling the trigger. I have been wanting to smoke some meat and this looks like any easy grill to start with.

My brother-in-law has one for a couple years now that his wife got for him at Costco. He loves the thing, especially the auto feed on the pellets his grill has. Less hands on time involved in cooking things that way.

I don't have one, but a friend does. My biggest critique of them is they don't seem to impart much smoke flavor. Maybe they've improved over the years. His is about 7 or 8 years old. The wings he does on them are good, but the butts are just okay.

ETA: His is actually completely different than that one. He has the old style electric one with a front door. Looks like a mini-fridge. So take that into consideration with my comments.

FiL has one, he loves it, it works well.

Only thing I don't like about it is you cant sear on it.

I Have a Green Mountain Grill and it has changed the game as far as smoking and grilling for me.... When i was researching them some of the Traegers were trash, but the one on Amazon Prime was not one of the ones i looked at.

Got one for Father's day and love it. I'm a super basic grill guy and didn't want anything too complicated, and so far it's been great.

Not a good price for that size grill. I have one and would not buy another Traeger again.

I have a Traeger Timberline 850. Love it. It does impart light smoke, which I like. Don’t buy a pellet grill for searing. All of the manufacturers claim they can, but they do it poorly.

I did some big bone in ribeye’s on my Traeger a few nights ago....Smoked them low for about 45 minutes, pulled them off, cranked it up to 450 degrees, and then seared both sides.

Probably one of the best steaks I’ve done

That's a great deal. I've had mine for over 4 years and use it often. I've smoked almost everything, and it all turns out great. The other smokers look really good. Those prime Costco steaks cut like butter! I would buy another at that price.
