Looking for tips. Long story short…I broke my little smoker and am wanting to make bacon on my Weber. I was going to use the snake method with some cherry wood. Thoughts?

I did a 3 pound slab with snake method and pecan wood. It turned out really good.

Snake method works fine. When the burning coals get close to the meat, rotate the grill grate away from it. Same with the lid vent, keep the smoke moving across the product.

I open my bottom vents all the way, and close the top vent to the width of a pencil, FWIW.

You can do the snake method and it works. Just do a layer of 2 on the btm and 1 on the top. I think a 3x2 snake will run to hot.
