I know of these but have never used them before. Haven’t read the fine print. Looks like you buy your first one now (choice of 8 different models) for $777. After five years, you get a new one and pay $100 shipping. So basically a new grill every 5 years for $100. It goes for 50 years.

ETA: I’m not really considering it. I’ve got a few other ones myself. Just thought people may want to know if the equipment was good enough quality.

I would not count on company being in business for 10 years much less 50.

I'd say check out Home Depot right now. I was in there yesterday and every grill was on sale around $200 off. Seems like they can't find anyone to buy them. Lots of decent Traegers.

I've used Z-grills before. It's not a Weber, but they cook plenty good enough.

I could see it rusting out in 5 years if you don't take really good care of it, but if you take good care it there's no reason it's not a 10 year grill, which isn't bad.

People just like to shite on things.

I had a Z-grill about 5 or 6 years ago. It was pretty much a direct knock of a Grilla Grill with the only difference being that the fit and finish just isn’t very good. I gave it away 2 or so years ago and the guy who has it still uses it a bunch.

If you want a grill that will last a lifetime, or at least 50 years, I suggest you find a cast aluminum one. I have one now that is still in good shape.

Comes with a 20 year warranty and the company has been in business since 1952 according to the linked page.

It lasted Dad a lifetime literally.

My parents have one similar that I’m pretty sure they got from their parents. It definitely holds up. But OP is looking at a pellet smoker/grill.
