I know there are many great restaurants in Chicago but I'll be in the suburbs for a while and don't feel like driving 45 minutes just to get a good meal.
I'll occasionally make my way there though for special occasions.

I really enjoy the food court at Mitsuwa Marketplace in Arlington Heights. There is a pork katsu dish with some gravy that is really good stuff.

NW burbs is pretty broad, what area in particular?
Second for Mitsuwa, I used to always stop there anytime I went out to Arlington Park

What suburb?
Huntley is pretty far out there, but MoRE Brewing has a newer, beautiful facility. Very good food menu. It’s right off I-90, so I sometimes stop there on my way to Madison for a bite and beer.
Check out Chef Ping in Rolling Meadows. Another restaurant I’ve checked out on my way back from Madison. Right off 90 and many give it great reviews.
All I really have… I’m not in the NW suburbs much.

I lived in that area for 20 years. Wildfire is a good one. There’s one in Schaumburg. We used to go to the one in Lincolnshire for special occasions.

Thanks. Haven't explored much...tried a sports bar named rookies a couple times. Decent people but the food is pretty bad even by corporate bar food standards.
Found a decent ramen place next door though
Did Mexican tonight and it was good as far as Tex Mex goes.
I want to try the burgers at Riverside tavern in Dundee. They look interesting for sure.

I've made a few trips out that way for work in Des Plaines/ Arlington Heights.
I hit up places like Wildfire, Lou Malnati's, Kuma's Corner, Portillos and Brazil Express Grill in Schaumburg.
Jameson Charhouse and Rack House in Arlington Heights.
THen you got the fancier chain places in Rosemont.
