Any good meat markets in Opelousas?

Here for work. Would like to get some sausage, boudin, jerky etc. Anything close?

There are a ton of them, including a Billy's. Make sure you get some of those egg roll/cheese/boudin things. It's a life changing experience.

Please tell me this is not true.
Its been a few years, but my grandfather took my many many times when I was a kid for Gumbo Sausage.
But I know Billys Boudin balls are still great

yes, it is a shell of its former self. it had really went downhill quick after the old man died. they ran off all the good people and butchers that worked there and hired hoodrats as replacements.
the arabs at least were smart enough to hire a good butcher and it seems to be improving. I ate a piece of sausage from there saturday and it was good.
