Looking for something casual

Best muff in the state is at Noble Savage.
If this place was in BR I think it would be a food board favorite it is a dive yet has boutique food.

Don’t listen to this idiot. He happens to be right here, the Blind Tiger is what you’re looking for. But it’s good policy not to listen to him. Or Noble Savage.

Am I going to get robbed walking around downtown?
Posted on 6/20/18 at 6:29 pm to upgrayedd
No, not at all.
Eat at noble and half a few drinks. When it closes, walk east on Texas a couple blocks then north a block to Travis street and hit up straycat.

Yea. I don’t think you’ll get murdered though. If you carry around less cash than what you’d pay an Uber driver it’s worth it to walk imho.

Noble Savage if you don’t mind smoke
Parish Tacaeux or Abby Singer otherwise
I’m not a fan of Blind Tiger
If you want to Uber or drive, Red River Brewery is close to downtown and has legit food now. Beer is average but food is awesome. Look up Fat Calf Boucherie for menu.

Fat Calf has some really quality food. The average beer issue has been somewhat resolved by Red River going to brewpub status (or whatever the law calls it) where they can serve beers from other breweries, wine, etc.

I haven't been, but a trustworthy friend is big on it. Supposed to have a fantastic selection of bourbons.

Fatty’s is great for a cocktail.

I second any recommendations of Noble Savage and Fat Calf Boucherie (located at Red River Brewing).

Yea I hear Red River has some good food.

Parish Taceaux, Noble Savage, Abby Singer, Fat Calf at Red River.
I am not a huge fan of Blind Tiger’s food, either.
