Another New Orleans restaurant thread...

Bringing a few teenagers (14 years old) to town this weekend. They're foodies - 2 are better cooks than I am, and one has spent considerable amount of time in commercial kitchens.
Looking for restaurant recommendations for a couple of meals. I searched in here, and found some good information in similar discussions - Boucherie, Cochon and Peche are three that were mentioned often.
Chances are that we'll do the WWII museum. Any other suggestions for must-visit or oddball restaurants they might enjoy?

i think herbsaint is the most overlooked restaurant in town by locals. if they really are foodies, you could also consider maypop...its weird and surprising and exciting

Damn good. Had an excellent meal there Thursday evening. A favorite of mine for years. I'm not a local.
Take them to Peche, too. And I love Mandina's both for the food and old school atmosphere.

As mentioned Peche and Herbsaint are fantastic.
La Petite Grocery is also very good and in a different neighborhood if you wanted to go Uptown.

Excellent restaurant. Mopho is another restaurant by the same chef that is a little more casual. Both are very viet/Asian forward.
New Orleans offers a lot of Asian flavors that may not be available everywhere else. Red's Chinese, Pho Tau Bay, etc...

All good suggestions. Putting together a plan for the day...planning to talk them into the WWII museum in the afternoon, followed by an afternoon trip to Igor's and Rock n Bowl.
Any other suggestions welcome.

Why bring anyone there.
Maybe he is going to teach them how to properly wash clothes.

They've never seen a laundromat. Figured this would be a great time to show them how the creme de la creme live in the bright lights off the big city.
And l can sneak a cold beer while they feed quarters into the dryers.
