Do you have friends that work there? Or are you perhaps their only regular?

No...I don't have any friends there. They have other regulars but I am the most regular at opening time before the crowds come in. I also get free stuff every 12th order from my Gold Card. They also save me yesterday's NYT and WSJ newspapers for free.

But then I probably spend $2,500 a year at Starbucks between my purchases and gift cards for my friends and family. My son and his wife are good examples. They love Starbucks but cannot justify the expense since they are just starting out with 2 young kids. So, I buy them SB gift cards and they love getting them.

I hate Starbucks. It's way too acidic and too expensive. I do most of my coffee drinking at work and on the weekends, I'm more likely to get coffee from McDonald's or a gas station.

Use to be like that in Dallas, Starbucks across the street from another

Same in Seattle, opposite corners at an intersection.

I can't drink Starbucks coffee black, which is how I drink coffee at home and everywhere else. Starbucks is burnt and bitter, and I figure they make it that way so you can dump copious amounts of milk and sugar in it.

That's the response of the girls who work behind the counter at my gym. I always say "Good, because we really don't like your kind at Starbucks. It destroys the ambiance."
