Enjoyed the new episode. Set the DVR to record all new ones going forward.

I liked it...and of course the first episode warmed the hearts of the F&D board with a reverse sear steak...

Also, I thought they were just revisiting old episodes, but AB clearly says in the intro that new episodes of Good Eats are coming, but until then, they're going to revisit older episodes that need revisiting.

I had no clue we are getting brand new episodes!

For the cheap ^h^h^h frugal folks like me who have cut the cable-TV cord, here's the stream of the first episode (not sure how long Cooking Channel will keep this link up...)

He's back

Thanks for the link. Just watched.

I like his “reloaded” approach of not being afraid to say his old advice was not always best or even correct. We’re always learning.

Alton Brown has always been one of the only TV food people I can stand.

The mind = blown part for me was learning that he never worked as a chef. That's insane.

He did graduate from the New England Culinary Institute. However, he mainly studied film while in school.

I really like AB, always felt like he over complicated the actual cooking process however. Especially when it came to grilling things.

Maybe I am the only one but I didn’t care for the reloaded show.

Had a career in film/production. Identified a serious need for a real deal food tv show. Went to culinary school. Did tv show.

Agreed. Grilled chicken isn’t hard.
