This will be a huge plus if they do this right. There isn't one place in Metairie with even a decent outdoor set up. That place will kill it with people wanting to sit outside on weekends and drink.

Source: I work in Harahan and it’s the regular rotation for myself and many coworkers.

The one thing that does scare me is the size of the venue, as alluded to a few posts up. They get all their ingredients locally and although locally sourced food has become an almost played out trend, you really can tell the food higher quality than your average pizza/pasta joint. I’m worried they will have to compromise on the quality of ingredients to meet the higher demand/overhead.

I ate oak oven last night with a big group.

margherita pizza
4 cheese
pepperoni
lamb meatball

lasanga
shrimp diavola
veal parm
stuffed drum

arugula salad
caesar

place was slammed. their food stands up to any italian place in nola

Sounds like from what you and Gino and others have said it's worth trekking into Harahan to check it out.
