Wow, I thought they would last longer especially with the economy coming up. Currently all of our stores are experiencing sales trends that are outpacing other chains in every market. The smoked wings are a big hit so that is helping.

Leases kill restaurants all the time. Couple that with the note on the startup and construction costs and you are playing with fire.

here's the commercial listing for the building

sale price $3,750,000.00
lease price (NNN) $36.52/SF per year ($300,000/year)

that’s the offered lease on the vacant building, the TK lease was similarly bad plus they put all the FFE inside it, which will now likely be auctioned

those dudes lost their arse on that place

Big time. For them to abandon now when it's about to be F250s and truck nuts for everyone says a lot

Ran across this in the Advocate:

Ascension Parish Civil Court Cases filed May 14-18, 2018:

Acadiana Development of Gonzales LLC v. Tilted Kilt of Gonzales LLC, eviction

Makes you wonder how long they had not been paying the rent?

Was in a great area.
I stayed over there month or so ago and counted 8 hotels.

I knew the owners somewhat and what I was old they had management issues.
Employees
Stealing
Drinking

Just overall crap management.

Well as the owner, who had to put $750k to be the franchisee, it's his responsibility to ensure that doesn't/didn't happen. You can't just open a restaurant and expect others to do the right thing, sit back and collect cash.

This sounds like every episode of bar rescue. Are you John Tapper?

Hell no, I did watch his show for about 3 seasons then realized each and every bar was pretty much the exact same problem. Plus, something like 80% of the rescues between that, restaurant impossible, etc still fail within 6 months to a year.

There is a very good reason why bars and restaurants have the highest fail rate of any business in the country.

it is all Sysco and push button Cooking I don’t know how these places can staff.

If this is the case why would they need more than a few people working in the kitchen?

I haven't operated in the BR market but I know the competition is stiff.

I ate at hooters on college last week and to call it competitive is being nice. I'm not really into the whole half dressed female serving me food thing but none of the girls were attractive. They also fricked up my order in every way possible
