Smart move on his part because that location was sinking faster than Titanic.

Yes TDuece they had a huge grill/smoker outside with a bonified pit master at the helm!

I didn't think it was pricey because you got tons of food. Good value

Yeah that's true.
The last time we went, we got the smoked brisket nachos off the appetizer menu and it was $15
But it was enough for 8 people to eat off of and barely finished.

I’ve probably been as many times as most anyone on the board. It’s very close to my house, the atmosphere is great, service is always good, hamburger’s awesome, and their happy hour alcohol prices are amazing.

There are new opportunities that our restaurant group can not pass up.

I wonder what the new opportunities are?

When a restaurant fails, you rarely get the truth. You usually get the "rose colored glasses" view from the owner.

It seems that they want to franchise it, if I had to guess.

Perhaps another company contacted them about doing just that. And they had to closed the failing 2nd location so they wouldn't look bad to potential investors.

And my guess for the reason it failed is because it had no system in place. Basically, they didn't know to run two restaurants. Running one restaurant is hard. Running two restaurants is suicidal...if you don't have a system in place.

My guess is someone or another restaurant group is offering to help them franchise (put a system in place) and invest (buy into) the company.

My further guess is that they will try to simplify the menu. Basically, seek ways to make the restaurant more efficient.

Wonder how long their Lamar sign on the interstate will stay up.
