Are you looking for a place that serves boiled crawfish, crabs, and shrimp? Or a restaurant that has a variety of fish and seafood dishes ?

How is Dwight's these days for crawfish?

Used to love their plate lunches, and last time I had crawfish there (20 years ago?), it was good.

I had family in from OOT last year and we ate there twice. Crawfish were solid, boiled and seasoned perfectly (no sprinkled on top BS). My wife prefers Crawfish Time on Verot School Rd. Dwight's plate lunches are still the real deal, very consistent even after 20+ years. Dwight's and Dwyer's downtown are hard to beat

Thank you. That's good to know.

I'll be coming into town with a bunch of TX natives next month and looking for a good crawfish spot. I agree that Crawfish Time on Verot is delicious, but since not everyone eats crawfish, or even seafood, was hoping Dwight's could be a good overall spot since they sell other stuff like burgers, steaks and etouffee.

Prejeans

Bob Guilbeau sold out to Tim Metcalf (Deano's) in November 2020. Prejean's has been remodeled and has a new updated menu. They just re-opened within the last 2 weeks, and it's to early to know whether it's a hit or miss. The image and certain food items definitely have to improve to win back the locals. Prejeans was pretty much a tourist "Cajun Food" destination for those traveling I-10/I-49.
