I bought one. Loved to support the cause. Taste was very bleh imo. Nothing special. Worth a try though for sure. I Just don't plan on buying anymore of them.

Bar I work at in Auburn has been carrying Abita now for about 2 months. Restoration is my favorite. The Strawberry Harvest has been a huge hit with the ladies. And beyond a shadow of a doubt, I can declare that Abita Light tastes like horse piss.

Unfortunately, nowhere in Alabama carries SOS. And I want to try it.

Thought it was pretty good. At 7% ABV has to be in the 22 oz bottles, which I understand can't be sold in MS or AL?

Seems odd for a fundraiser beer. Guess they knew where the drinkers where.

Just a guess, but I'm thinking most people would not rank Restoration Ale near the top of their list of Abita beers.

Restoration Ale does very well, that is why it is still being sold.

It can be sold in AL now, but not MS.

I haven't tried it yet, Bet-R didn't have any last time I stopped in. Damn them.

And in my expert opinion, Restoration Ale is not good at all.

Had some this past weekend. Like others have said above...it is pretty solid, but I am not going to trip all over myself to go buy it. I'll probably pick up a few for the cause though.

Never heard that before. Labotomy Bock and most russian imperial stouts are 10%+ and are sold in 12 oz bottles.

That's because it's not true. In Louisiana at least. You can get 14% abv Samichlaus in 11.2 oz. bottles.

No, you can buy them in 6-packs. There aren't any abv regulations on beer in Louisiana.

Ok. I still prefer most beers in a 12oz bottle. I don't nurse them, but I still like it cold til the end.

I am not a fan of this beer either.

I am excited to try the Vanilla version of Turbodog. They apparently have it at the Abita Brewpub and have been showcasing it at some events in the area.

If Abita Lite tastes like Horse Piss than all Buds and coors and domestic products taste like chemical sewerage that is completely not potable.
