It's all a bunch of lawyer speak for, "you're not getting more gravy, and that mouse isn't getting you a free pizza. Nice try Internet."

Quite a few Baton Rouge business owners on the Pastime Facebook page commenting about posters on TD tearing apart their businesses online.

I'm not going to name them on here. I'm cool with one of them and another actually advertised on here a few years ago and I think it was basically a disaster because people would rail on his business all the time.

But that's the price of having a local business in the internet age, I suppose.

I just don't get it. This isn't a review site. It's discussion. Even when people here unanimously hate a place, it's generally not extending beyond TD. It's like a group of friends talking about hating a place.

Plus, if an entire group on a website is "bashing" your restaurant, don't you think you should look within yourself and figure out why? I mean, we love to argue here If anyone bashes a place that doesn't deserve it, people defend it immediately. If we are all agreeing that a place sucks, it probably does.

Anybody with FB care to divulge who these businesses are?

Walkons anybody?

I don't know, but he made another comment.

It's long. Here are some bits:

quote:

First of all, we DO NOT ACCEPT TIPS in the kitchen. If he tipped, he tipped the bartender for her bar service

Who is he considering kitchen here? Because even though they forgot to ask us to pay for our food altogether, the person behind the counter in the back GLADLY accepted my $5 tip when I was there just a few weeks ago. Also, OP never mentioned tipping $5 (me and Jones did), so I think this dude just has no idea how to use the internet..

quote:

A poster said the the Owners/managers have been on TD replying but none of us have an account on there and have never been on except to read the posts.

Dude, you need some serious reading comprehension skills. Nobody in this thread has said you are on this website. Where are you even making this shite up from?

quote:

We have not replied to any social media comments on any board except our our closed board her on Face Book. We purposely chose not to start get involved with the flaming on any social media board and chose to address any issues like we have for the 50 or so years

How does he not see that his "closed" page (which isn't closed, dude) where he's having a complete meltdown bitch fest is exactly why this thread is still going.

This thread would have sank into the depths of TD had he not decided to act like a complete bitch on Facebook.

That group is not as private as he may think.

quote:

If any poster wishes to step out from behind their anonymous screen name and discuss this like a normal adult, I will be more than happy to sit down with them and discuss any issue they wish to discuss.

Nobody wants anything to do with you or your restaurant now that you've shown your true colors.

I actually felt a little bad this morning about this thread, but nope. Screw this guy. I've never seen such a childish business owner in my life. Where the hell is his attorney he mentioned? There's no way he's condoning this.

I see what you're doing.

You're trying to get free gravy.

Not gonna happen LaLady. Nice try.

And he has a slew of tards telling him to "let it geaux" (kill me).

He better enjoy his blue hair business for the time being. Who know where he'll be one they're dead.

This guy is nuts.

This was a good gem from the comments too:

quote:

Long Live Pastime and Fleur de Lis....the only real pizza in BR

I suppose the only qualification for "real" pizza is being a dirty shithole.

I'm all about a hole-in-the-wall, but being old and dingy doesn't automatically make you the best.

It's like an older person refusing to get a cell phone or refusing to use the internet. You're purposely holding yourself back and making yourself dumber, and you want a pat on the back for it? No.

I wonder what the Dolce Vita owner would say about Pastime's pizza that they're so proud of.

Randy is that you?
This thread has been entertaining as hell. I can only hope it goes for a few more pages. Maybe a disgruntled employee will show up & start posting.

Pastime is a dinosaur, whose core demographic is dying off, eating only through a straw, wearing diapers, or needs a nurse to feed them. Unless they cut a deal to deliver pizzas to Harvest Manor or something, their time is running out.

Nasty fricking place.
