What the hell..why does Shreveopolis always get stuff like Smash or Fatburger before BR? I know the Fat locations in NO and Shreve are no more..$8 to $11 combo meals are hard to peddle in La. Haynesville Shale money at work?
Shreveport have a 5G yet? BR supposedly has one coming to Perkins Rowe, which I think is a bad location for it in BR. I think it needs to be closer to LSU students, bars, and the Southdowns, Aloysius,etc..money crowd. Corner of Acadian at Perkins in same center as Acme..tear down the old crummy gas station. That or Towne Center. Buried up in Perkins Rowe just isn't right, as 5G isn't destination location fare..not worth the park and walk, despite proximity to the movie theatre. People aren't gonna hassle parking headaches for a burger..not happening.
Also, BR's 5G really needs to be one of their drive-thru ones, and off a high traffic count area, one near youth and yet also money. That's Perkins, College, Acadian, Highland,etc..meets LSU corridors.
I even saw where Panera Breads on their website's franchisee area, wants a Shreve location..why not BR or NO first?

i have tried 2 on the west coast and i rank it about 4th in bang for the buck.
I wouldn't be surprised if their burger is inconsistent. My other favorite quasi fast food burger when done right is Hardee's thickburger, and god knows that is a crap shoot. (Carl's Jr franchises may be more consistent with their thickburgers, not sure.)

incredibly indescribably bland...for all those sacks of potatoes sitting around you'd think they could conjure up some fries remotely as good as what my mom used to make with fresh potatoes and some hot crisco in a skillet
it's a fast food place, not your mom's home cooking.
Not sure what you expect? certainly hope not your moms fresh potatoes i would imagine, but some people are delusional

are you drunk or something??
where did i specify that the burger I had was "something special"?
where did i say there was some special magic in the meat they used u fricking idiot.
I said it was good. And In fast food context. It was good.
It's not something comparable to a homemade burger. I ate there once, i needed something fast, and it was right there and i had never tried it. For a fast food chain, it ranks pretty high up there compared to the others ive tried.
I never said it was a fricking gourmet meal. It's a fast food meal that obviously is more well thought out than your other burger chains.
don't take your hatred on the place out on me, I could give 2 fricks if they messed up your meal or burnt your patty, or if your fries were soggy that specific day.

You must eat at some really bad 5 guys franchisees. I have only eaten at a couple of their original DC places, and a couple of their places in Georgia. Everytime the burger was cooked well (not well done), and the two patties were decently sized, juicy, and not burnt. I would not assume that 5 guys are great or even good everywhere, kind of telling that you would naturally assume the opposite.
This. In DC 5 guys is pretty solid.

thats what i liked so much about fuddrucker's...you could sit there & watch them grind the beef and make the patties. say what you want but fuddruckers had a very tasty burger..plus I could get it medium rare and it didn't have all the flavor cooked out of it.

That defeats the point of 5 Guys IMO. I agree it's not even close to the best patty, but the toppings combine to make it a decent burger. Certainly better than the standard fast food burgers, and that's pretty much where they've positioned themselves, premium fast food burger.

Overrated and overhyped. C'mon folks, get a box of patties at H.E.B. Or Sam's Club, microwave and put on a bun, and you've got at least as good as 5 Guys. Stick to What-A-Burger, you can't go wrong!
nailed it.

You watch them grill/fry whatever that cooking method is right in front of you. How on earth could that be equivalent to microwaving a patty? Your hatred of 5 Guys is a bit over the top if you think he "nailed it".
