Sal & Judy's probably has a high chance at making someone's at large bids

I hereby nominate Flanagan's and Christaino's as the two Houma/Thibodaux reps for the 1st annual LRT

I thought about Charlie G's but its not a great representation of Lafayette cuizine. More of just a nice restaurant in Laffy but would get destroyed by simular restaurants outside of Lafayette.

No Charlie G's?
ehhhhh they have been up and down for so long over there that they have fallen out of the "best of lafayette" discussion for me

Yeah. A mediocre place in NOLA would crush them. Good call. I support this list

i'd also like to cast my vote for Hymel's in convent as an at large...

At least two on my list can hold there own against ALMOST any restaurant in this state.
Also, I think a have some strong at large selections due to the wealth of good restaurants in my region.
Vincent's should slip into this tourney...and East and Nine Roses are likely the best in their respective cuisines in the state.

Mo's ahead of Clementine's? Ahead of Royal Palm? Ahead of O'Brien's Grille? Ahead of Red Maple? Ahead of Kim Son?

We're the dynamic duo, TA (he paired us a few pages back)...
Whatever we choose for a final result, that has to be done via e-mail...
But we can discuss preliminary choices right here...
These are not set in stone by any means...
Westbank
Clementine's
Mosca's
Chalmette
Rocky & Carlo's (don't know if there's another option?)
Mid City & Lakeview
Ralph's On The Park
Tony Angello's
Parkway Bakery or R&O's
East Jeff
Impastato's
Ristorante Da Piero
Tower Of Pizza (or some other pizza place)
Le Parvenue
???
At Large
Cafe Degas
Mr. B's
Angelo Brocato (got to have some dessert place)
Irene's

From TulaneLSU a few pages back:
Plan #2.
The regionals will be as follows.
Old New Orleans
(7 FQ, 5 Uptown, 4 at large bids)
Yat New Orleans
(3 Mid-City/Lakeview, 1 Gentilly/ 8th and 9th Wards, 1 Chalmette, 5 East Jefferson, 2 West Jefferson, 4 at large bids)
Florida Parishes to Acadiana
(3 Northshore, 4 Baton Rouge, 3 Lafayette, 2 Acadiana, 5 at large bids)
North Louisiana and Etcetera
(2 Houma/Thibodaux, 1 Lake Charles, 2 Alexandria, 3 Shreveport, 2 Monroe, 5 at large bids)
glassman, clooneyisgod, and niknik are responsible for Old New Orleans seeding.
Brock Landers and Tiger Attorney are responsible for seeding the 16 Yat New Orleans restaurants.
Catman and supatigah, with help from others for Northshore restaurants, are responsible for seeding the 16 Florida Parishes to Acadiana regional.
LSUZombie and LSUGUMBO (and another unnamed Monroe member) are responsible for the North Louisiana and Etcetera seeding.
AT LARGE bids do not, I repeat, do not, have to come from your regional geography. An Old New Orleans member can pick Johnny's if they want.

Okay....I clearly think Clementine's is better...Mo's was a strategic pick because I think it's popular enough to advance.
Let's do Clementine's and maybe Mo's as an at large.

I would like to dip into NOLA for out at large...but how does that work since we don't know what the other teams are picking.
Posted on 3/26/09 at 1:54 pm to BrockLanders
Do you have an email, Brock?
Posted on 3/26/09 at 1:59 pm to Tiger Attorney
TA...what is your suggestion for At Large for NO?
Posted on 3/26/09 at 1:59 pm to Tiger Attorney
I wasn't sure how you wanted to handle the at-large ones...whether popular choices are the key, or if it's something like a "dark horse" that could make it interesting.
Thought Cafe Degas or Mr. B's would work for that sort of thing...
As far as popular goes, you could always opt for Jacques-Imo's, but perhaps not.
