I think it's on their end. Just tried getting on from Google, and it said it couldn't connect to the server.
That sucks - they had some good info on there. Hopefully, it's only temporary.

Got this yesterday.......
Flood Advisory
At 7 AM today, Saturday May 7, 2011, I was informed that Col. Fleming, USACOE requested permission to operate the Morganza Floodway. This request is submitted to Gen. Walsh and the Mississippi River Commission for their decision. I do expect this request to be honored despite the concerns of our area. As has previously been reported, the Weather Service has forecasted the impact of the opening of the Morganza to raise the level of the Atchafalaya River at the Morgan City gauge to the 12' to 13' range. These are unprecedented levels.
The National Weather Service expects us to reach:
May 10, 2011 7'
May 14, 2011 8'
May 15, 2011 8.5'
May 16, 2011 9.3'
May 18, 2011 10.5'
May 19, 2011 11.1'
May 21, 2011 11.6'
May 23, 2011 12'
May 25, 2011 12.5'
Please note that winds and tides will cause fluctuations and could raise these expected levels.
The inundation maps prepared by the Corps have been released and it is posted on the Corps website. They indicate that the Lake Palourde level will reach elevation 6'. To protect the City from flooding from this level the City is undertaking the task of raising these backwater levees. Our city crews have begun filling sandbags, we are receiving sand deliveries at various locations, and have HESCO baskets on their way to us . We have also requested the assistance of the National Guard to supplement the City crews with manpower, equipment and supplies as needed to protect the City's residents from flooding.
The City, Parish of St. Mary, Terrebonne Parish and the Terrebonne Parish Levee District have all joined in the St. Mary Parish Levee District's request to place a barge across Bayou Chene south of Amelia as was done in 1973. This plan is under review by the USACOE and their response is expected this weekend. This blockage of Bayou Chene is being undertaken in an effort to limit the rise of the floodwaters in Lake Palourde and surrounding areas.
I will continue to provide updates as more information becomes available.

We should be ok in MC a long as our inner levees hold back the water for as long as it stays up which looks like it will be for a few weeks. But poor lower St. Martin parish. This is going to be devastating for them.

I spoke to a worker on the Plaquemine ferry yesterday evening. He advised that the ferry would run until the last ramp went under, around 44-45 feet. We all agreed the levee at the ferry landing was about 10 feet from topping . I'll post the photos as soon as I download them. That free ride put a lot of this in perspective, I highly recommend taking the ferry ride.

I cant think of a place on 61 between Natchez and Vicksburg that would flood. hwy 84 shouldnt flood The only major hwy that I know of that will flood from the effects of backwater is hwy 28 from just northeast of pineville almost to the intersection of 84. This was under a foot or so of water in 73. I remember this vividly because my parents decided we had to have chickens, so my dad and I braved the floodwaters to drive to alex to buy 44 chickens. 40 hens and 4 roosters
