A great place to view the river and not get into trouble is the top of the Belle of Baton Rouge raised parking lot. It doesn't cost anything and has a great view for photos.

Where on the levee is this? We come all of the time from Lafayette and I guess I have never paid attention to this.
My question is: why is it RED and say, purple and gold and why is there a fleur de lis??? Looks like it should say LAFAYETTE!

I saw those dipshits. It really amazes me how stupid some people are. Yeah lets park our 1/2 ton car on a weakened earthen mound that has tons of water on the other side of it. Friggin idiots...
