That woodblock effect is an edge detection filter. I inverted the colors and created a vector to clean some of the lines. You are left with a monochromatic image. It still has that "sketch" feel though since I didn't individually clean up the lines. I started to do this on the fish but it would take some time. I didn't want to do a bunch of work if the original artist or a print company had finished your design.
It's probably closer to what you want but not quite print quality.

Just thought I would jump in here and tell you that looks great Tim. I enjoy your work. I have one of your vectors of the D as my desktop wallpaper. Tried to download one for the wallpaper for my cellphone (Windows phone -- sucks but work pays for is so I am not going to complain too much) but it did not work. Good work. Keep'em coming!

Meh. I think the cowbells at moo state, rammer jammer at bama, and the two bits cheer at Florida are all really gay but my dislike for them doesn't stop those people from enjoying themselves. It's all in the eye of the beholder brother, we pack a big piece of wood around and have a blast doing it. I wouldn't expect any one else to understand.

FWIW just about every other section has tried to create a "mascot" and this is the only one that has perserved for any lenght of time and it has been a long time my friend.....so for them to say it is stupid why in the hell would they try to copy it....I would argue they say it is stupid because they wish they would have done it first

I don't know about any of that, I wasn't there. I heard they were a little violent taking it, but I also heard the trumpets were being overly dramatic about it. Basically the whole band has always made fun of the fish. The only reason the tubas stole it again this year is because the last time they did it, a trumpet player was literally begging us for it while crying, and telling us that his friend will write us a check for it.
Jumas is going down?
