nah its the Trumpet Fish. I already posted the fish and the raising of the flag from WWII to get farked for a shirt design. Someone sketched it but im afraid it wont turn out too great if we try to put it on a shirt as is.
We've had this fish for 25 years. Its passed down every year to the Keeper of the Fish who is responsible for planning parties, designing shirts, and keeping up the morale of the trumpet section.
Other sections try and steal it from us and normally give it back in one piece. However this year it was pretty much destroyed and had to be re-sanded, re-stained, had to put a new eye in it, and all of the names of the keepers from the past that were written on the back were lost.
Essentially, this pic is to show that after a devastating blow the fish remains intact. Just a "band" thing i guess.

The challenge will be getting band members put into the "Iwo Jima" position. If you had a picture of band members in the position and location you desire, pretending to hold the fish, then adding the fish should be a piece of cake.

I want to use the black and white sketch for the T-shirt. The other two pics are just the originals, to explain what we were going for. I just want to know if you guys think it is "clean" enough to use. If its not, I want to see if there is anyway to darken it up or make an outline of it. Just want to know what needs to happen for it to look sharp.

getmoney,
i work in a screenprinting warehouse and i've seen ppll turn in horrid sketches to us and we send it to our digital artist and the screens he usually comes up with are amazing. so u shouldnt have much of a problem. what colors do u plan on using shirt and ink?

id say just darken the lines which you'd rather come out more pronounced...and btw cool history behind the idea

Our options are White on Black (like the P.O.W. shirts) or a dark color on fatigue green. I'll see what the print shop can do. I've had problems in the past with designs not being perfect and the shops doing a terrible job.
Any suggestions on local shops besides red stick sports that is our default shop as of right now? We're going to be making about 70 of them.

It all depends on the shop. Many charge an art fee to clean up an image. The final design will be a result of the talent of the graphic artist. There is a bit of work to do though to create a monochromatic print-quality image from that sketch though.
I would help design a vector but I have a personal project that is due this afternoon. Check with the print shops in the area and if you don't have any luck, let me know. I might be able to help next week.

Ok thanks, I may just get the original artist to try and clean up the sketch.
