Why are people so down on Demaryius Thomas this year?

He had 105/1300 with the worst statically starting QB in the league last year.

i like him this year and I think he is a great value. The reason he wasnt that good was lack of tds last year, but he usually always gets double digits and i think he can do that again this year. But yeah hes a great wr that you can get in early 4th in a 10 team and I think that's a steal

His TD's were cut in half from 2014 to 2015 and might be cut in half again.

I don't recall Peyton Butt-fumbling as bad as he was...

That's great and all, but has nothing to do with what I said. last year manning played in 10 games, two years ago Sanchez played in 9. Sanchez had a better completion %, more yards, more TD's..etc etc.

The point is, the best DT88 owners can hope for is a repeat of last year, and for me that's WR2/Flex at best, at least that's where Id draft him. I'm still a little surprised Elway didn't make a run at Fitzmagic in all honesty...I think he would've been perfect in that system IMO

11th highest scoring WR in PPR with his Qb who couldn't throw 30 yards. Repeat please.

ETA 7th most catches in the NFL.

You think volume will stay the same without Peyton having the authority to throw whenever he wants?

Denver was 13th in pass attempts in 2015. I would project they finish at least 10 spots behind that in 2016 due to the change in QB and a healthy CJA.

Demaryius is also not a great red zone threat because he's not at his best in contested catch situations. I think his TD ceiling is pretty capped unless he busts a ton of long ones.

105 catches? Maybe not. 85-90? Sure. Still around 1000-1100 yds. He only had 6 tds last year. I def think he'll score at least 10.

So, 90 catches = 90 points
1100 yds, = 110 points
10 tds = 60 points
-----------------
260 points puts him 1 point from last years total.

Throw in a few 2 point conversions put him 10 top again.

Look G, Im one of DT's biggest fans and its nothing vs. him, I just have NO trust in Sanchez whatsoever. I think there's probably 10 backup QBs in the NFL that are better (not that I could name them ) But yea, Bronco fans and owners like yourself outta hope Paxton is on the fast-track to starting. Once again, IMO

Me either. But has Sanchez had weapons at WR like je has with DT and Manny? I can't remember who he was throwing to in ny. The tall dude from mich st ( his name evades me now). Who else?

True, maybe I'm being too hard on the Sanchize
But yea, he's never had the weapons to work with that he has this year, so who knows
