They dont care that you live in Louisiana.

All my accounts have my Louisiana address, but I play when I go out of state.

It will be voided if you arent in a verifiable travel distance.

Thanks. This was what I was looking for.

I’ve been playing for a few years through my friend in GA, but I created a personal account last year. I was nervous about withdrawing my money on my personal account since I have an LA address.

You can supposedly get a UPS Store address across state lines if it's a reasonable travel distance. However, that's a W-2 being issued to another state that will be
looking for some sort of tax filing at the end of the year.

The only thing the vpn is needed for is deposits and reserving line ups. Now you have to be smart. If you reserve using the vpn in Jersey and then log on your phone in 2 hours from La you will be banned. U can edit after reserving from anywhere. When I go to Texas and come back I reserve everything I can then edit in Louisiana.

I use team viewer with a friend in Texas. Get on and reserve my line ups. Then edit the next day.

I may have to look into Team viewer. I typically just play football, so I log out Tuesday morning and my friend in GA logs into my account Wednesday, places my bets, and logs out. I simply log back in Friday and make the necessary changes.

My concern was always if DK would withhold my winnings since I have an LA address when I go to withdraw funds.

Naw they won’t. If so they wouldn’t let you play with ur residence. I use to travel and asked them. They said if you are in a place that allows it, you can play.

Re: Martiny. This is one of the more disappointing parts of this. He’s term limited, so today was his last day in office. There are literally ZERO repercussions for him. He did something that has rarely(never?) been done in the Louisiana State House and won’t have to face up for his actions. If we simply would have held the vote, it would have passed!

Here’s some things I’ve got from this session.

Instead of voting on the actual bill, law makers voted on their political stance on gambling. This should not happen. Your chance for that was before we voted. Not during a session on the taxing what was voted on. Something needs to happen so this doesn’t happen again. What a terrible way for this to go.

To all the people talking about withdrawing and depositing money- the most convenient way to do that is with PayPal. Yahoo is the only site that blocks based on your PayPal address.

I have heard mixed reviews on VPNs. I think DK is pretty good at figuring out who is using and who isn’t, based on people I’ve spoken to using them in LA. Driving elsewhere to set dummy lineups and then entering them yourself later is probably the way to go, but that can get kind of messy for daily sports or if you want to play a bunch of lineups at once.

thats why I do team viewer. It’s better to do it off someone who doesn’t play. If you log into your account to edit too early they will ban everyone who was on that IP.

Posted this on the Poli Board.

The ultimate demise of the two bills (HB459 and HB600) was due to Danny Martiny running out the clock in the Senate. However, it should be noted that the list below are House members who represent districts from parishes whose constituents voted for Fantasy last November. These "representatives" voted against the two bills and their constituents.

Mark Abraham - Republican
Beryl Amedee - Republican
Robby Carter - Democrat
Raymond Crews - Republican
Rick Edmonds - Republican
Reid Falconer - Republican
Cedric Glover - Democrat
Dorothy Hill - Democrat
Valarie Hodges - Republican
Frank Hoffman - Republican
Mike Johnson - Republican
Sam Jones - Democrat
Bernard Lebas - Democrat
Sherman Mack - Republican
Wayne McMahen - Republican
Blake Miguez - Republican
Greg Miller - Republican
J Rogers Pope - Republican
Jerome Richard - Independent
Alan Seabaugh - Republican

That's not entirely true, Cameron Henry plays a HUGE factor into all of this. If he allows the sports betting bill to go to the House, fantasy passes easily.

Also, Karen Peterson voted against gaming in every vote she had. Being a Sen. from New Orleans and voting against fantasy is ridiculous.

At the end of the day, Cameron Henry tipped over the domino that made all of this mess and his special interest with John Georges was the downfall for both bills. Senator Martiny's political career is over, Henry will be running for Senator in 2019 and will continue his dirty political tactics. People who are blaming Martiny are not seeing the big picture on how this all played out.

May also be the most braindead person in the House. Sorry for those in Denham Springs.

There is no defending Martiny's childish actions at the end. The news reports quote him about what people did to him. It's not about him it's about the people of Louisiana. That's the real problem, an entitled politician saying if he doesn't get his way he is going to mess up something for everyone else.

Those special interest that Cameron Henry supports also tried to place brick and mortar establishments on fantasy. I hope people don't forget that.

Yeah Martiny didn't help in the end but this is a collaborative effort by multiple individuals.
