Trade I just made involving AP

I don't know if I did that great with this trade, honestly I was bored with fantasy looking at the same players everyday. I had lost Julio and Reggie Wayne. Was just looking to make a move.
Trade was: me giving - AP, Mike Wallace, Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffery, Cam Newton, and Ryan Matthews for Ray Rice, Ridley, Cruz, Russell Wilson, Julius Thomas, and Antonio Brown.
My team now
QB - Romo/Wilson
RB - Forte/Rice/Stacy/Ridley/Quiz Rodgers/Vereen
WR - Cruz/Brown/Douglas/Boykin/Harvin
TE - Reed/Thomas
I think I made out like a bandit. Thoughts?

You gave the 2 best players in the trade and downgraded RB and WR. I wish I had guys like you in my leagues.

I don't see how I gave the two best players. Yes on paper I gave up the number one pick in the draft and Marshall. But I've seen the offense AP is playing on and it's not that great and will not improve. And no McCown is Marshall's QB. The other players I gave up were bench players that didn't contribute to my roster. Now I have the depth to win the league. I think I did okay.

None of this changes the fact that you gave away the 2 best players in the trade. I thought you already had Cruz but seeing that you got him in the trade means you didn't downgrade at WR that was my mistake, but you didn't get any better at receiver IMO.
Your team was still better before the trade.

Ouch, man.
Peterson is still a top 5 fantasy player. Rice and Ridley have been 2 of the most disappointing fantasy players in the whole league so far.
The only position you upgraded at all was TE. You got hosed. at the RB position but did OK with WRs/TE. Would not have done that trade.

Post his team now and the format. Then, we can put them side by side and show you how badly you lost. I agree you did gain a lot of depth, but traded away the 3 best players (not named forte)on your team to do so. Unless you play with 2 RBs, 3 WRs and 2 flex players, you can't play all those players. Come playoff time, the guys with top heavy teams are the league winners, not guys with great depth.
