I keep seeing him projected to get 4-6 points in week 1. Anyone else think that’s way too low?

The “experts” are saying Bijan will completely take over the position, but I have trouble believing that Allgier will completely take the backseat to him.

Last year, the Falcons RBs had nearly 3000 yards from scrimmage, split mostly between Allgier, CP, and Huntley. So there’s plenty of work to go around.

Also, The Falcons have the worst WRs in the league, so I wouldn’t be surprised if Allgier is often the “main” RB with Bijan and CP lining up outside a lot.

I think it’s entirely possible that Bijan and Allgier have pretty close to equal number touches to start the year.

He's projected for 120 carries and I think that's about right. That's 7-8 per game. Bijan is a generational talent with an incredibly heavy draft capitol invested in him. The only way Algier has significant value is via injury to Bijan and then his value isn't even that high with that scenario. I would rather roster players like Jaylen Warren and Tyjae Spears that have much higher ceilings and only have Algier if I own Bijan.

I guess my point is just that CP and Bijan might end up being the best pass catchers on the team outside of London & Pitts, which gives more rush attempts for Allgier

Falcons averaged 33 rushes per game last year.

I think:

Bijan gets ~14 carries and ~5 catches per game

Allgier gets ~ 13 carries and ~ 1 catch per game

CP gets ~ 3 carries and ~ 4 catches per game

I would also think Allgier ends up being used around the goal line a lot.

ETA: Also, I disagree that Allgier isnt that good of an option if Bijan gets hurt. You know the Falcons are gonna run the ball no matter what, and with Bijan out, the carries will be split between Allgier and 33 year old Cordarelle Patterson.

I think he easily gets 20+ touches per game in that situation and is a clear fantasy starter.

Ridder will also make plays with his legs as well.

I get the Bijan hype but that's just not an ADP I'd like to gamble on with my first pick. I can definitely see Allgier with 150 touches given what he's shown last season. When it's grind time, he'll get his fair share of carries.

I think he’s touchdown dependent to be a viable starting option. Not a terrible play in deeper leagues.

He should be rostered in nearly every league in my opinion. He’s similar to Elijah Mitchell for me in that he’s not a true handcuff. He’s shown he can handle volume over multiple games and he has enough skill to keep the offense humming while the superstar starter gets a breather.

If something happens to Bijan, he’s a viable starter for most fantasy teams as Patterson is no threat to take carries and the passing game should compliment ATL’s run game better this year.

I think he's one of those backups that will get enough work to be a fill-in for bye weeks and if Bijan misses time, he could be a consistent but not outstanding flex option.

I think even with Bijan he gets more work than most expect and I think he and Bijan will be on the field together some.

I'm not sure why Bijan's ability to catch passes would mean more rush attempts for Allgier. If anything, that would mean that Bijan being on the field would create more uncertainty for the defense.

I agree that Allgier might be undervalued, but I doubt he gets double-digit carries in most weeks.

I don’t think this is realistic. I think Bijan gets 20-25 touches a game. Your rushing averages are also skewed by mariota and ridder accounting for 100 rushes over the season. Also the offense will probably be bad again. I think Allgeier is looking at more like 5-8 touches a game.
