Well, I would bet that on a per game basis that Vick would be a top-12 QB in standard scoring leagues.

I believe last year he finished 14th in FPPG by QB's with 15.6.

There is a lot of speculation on what Vick might do. I'm not convinced people even understand what the offense will be like besides hearing "chip Kelly's offense" on TV. And I don't even necessarily hate Vick. But his injury history and inaccurate passing history tell me something. More plays = more chances to get hurt. Like I said, Vick has played a full slate once and that was 7 years ago. Is more opportunities to get crushed really a good thing? Not to mention his best weapon in the passing game is now Desean Jackson.

I look at Kaep and see a guy who averaged 25 PPG in his starts last season including playoffs. Remember him taking any brutal hits? how about boneheaded throws? He never tossed more than 1 pick in a game. Then I look at drew Brees who averaged 27 fantasy points a game and led all players. Who knows?

Oh... If he plays 16 games?

And within 40 points?

Sounds like a great bet!

That's the only claim I made.

40 points was the difference in players like Matthew Stafford and Tony Romo. Similar players

What do you consider similar?

Kaepernick started 7 games to Vicks 10 and outscores him by almost 20 points? Which is cool.

Seems like a no-brainer bet according to your stats.

Gotta at least be intrigued at Vick this year. 13 of 15 so far is pretty impressive, preseasons or not.

Their offensive line has looked stout and much improved, I think between them and the quick spread his risk of injury is less than past years.

If you wait on a QB and load up other positions, I dont think it's a bad idea to rely on say a Vick and Palmer/Eli/Flacco each week to get at least 15 points.

And one of those incompletions was a clock expired toss up.

At least somebody can put down their issue of The Body and see the value in this.

I just posted that list based on how I think the QBs will fare in 2013.

I think Peyton Manning will be the best QB and so forth...I think Vick comes in at 4 with the eagles winning 11-12 games this year.

Wat

I never said they weren't similar. You can be similar but someone has to be better. I mean, Brees and Rodgers are similar to Peyton Manning. Yet they are out scoring him by 2 or 3 points a game and are getting drafted 3 and 4 rounds ahead of each other.

So by your terms you are basically telling me Vick won't play 16 games and Kealernick is a 2-3 point better player than Vick?

I don't see a problem with that or the $2 you got him for in the auction. My main issue with him is health

Others with completion % 80% or higher.

-Matt Blanchard 84.2%
-Jeff Tuel 80.8%
-Tom Brady 90%
-Jason Campbell 85.7%

You have been arguing my claim the last 2 pages.

By my terms, games being equal, Kaep could be 2.5 points better per game. If its more than 2.5 ppg then you win the bet.

And since Kaep is going in the 5th,6th,7th and I got Vick in the 12th, I would take that.

You should reread. I never said anything about them not being similar.

The original post on the first page said Vick would be better than the 2 west coast guys. Then i talked about Vicks accuracy and then final Kaepernicks production when he played last season.

I'll give you the 40 points just because, even though 40 points is a lot. But there is no game limit considering the main gripe is his healthy. $100 whenever you would like.

Oh, so Vick's accuracy is what it is, and Kaepernick's production was what is was?

I'll do $20, and even though I was never arguing his health concerns, I'll give you the no game limit but at 3:2. If I win, you pay $30, if you win, I pay $20.

I see your points as well, but when Vick could be had in our draft as the 14th QB off the Board...seemed like a good value to me when Kaep was taken with a significantly higher pick

So, let's say they post stats in the same ballpark - the guy who took Vick in let's say Round 12 did well compared to the guy who had to use a 4 or 5 to get Kaep

I think Vick gets in the 230-250 point range. That should put him top 10

We also need to hash out what the scoring system is.
