then why are td's 6.
just in this league. as i said, "standard" scoring gives 4 points for passing TDs
if you are going to give 4 or 5points for a FG, then you might as well give 2.7 for a 27 yarder. It wouldnt be consistent to say that you need to get at least 3 points for one because they are worth 3 in the game, when you are going to give more for longer FG. That's the 'fantasy' aspect in play already.

8. Honk 95.98 (GB Def)

Done for good: Drunken Clams, Rouge, & Karma.
IMO Chowds and I will battle for that 6th spot. Will be pretty hard to bump anyone else out, but it could happen.

A FG is 3 points - nothing more, nothing less. The penalty for a miss is 0 points. Same for the XP. No need to complicate.

PPP- 92.76 (Peterson, Jennings)
Boom- 90.02 (Done)

Peyton and I will be aiming for the last two spots tomorrow. I like both of our chances.
Looks like 30 points will get it done.

i dont care if it stays at 3. but you have to penalize for a miss.

A win by Peyton and 3 points from Geaux makes my 154 moot. I'll stay stuck at 4th.
With McFadden possibly returning and Julio hurt again makes me a sad panda.

Lunch Pail needs to be knocked out. PPP needs to stay out of top 6 too.

Lunch pail is toast, but I'm doubting AD and Jennings will score < 22

frick i need geaux, lunch pail, and redd to lose
Posted on 11/13/11 at 11:33 pm to CE Tiger
may be a dumb question but in the standing page why do some teams win loss add up to 9 and some add up to 10???
Posted on 11/13/11 at 11:34 pm to CE Tiger
I think Port just adds the people who have already lost for the week.

Toula hasnt lost this week and he has 7 losses.
Posted on 11/13/11 at 11:45 pm to GynoSandberg
RT does it then. Toula lost to Swamie in the H2H and their matchup is final.

yea that must be it

I don't think that's it.

I agree. FG kickers are completely random and we should start rewarding them extra points for extra yards because it's impossible to research or predict what kickers are going to kick from what yardadge.
The reason everything else in based on yardage is because we have the ability to better predict that say an Adrian Peterson is going to have X number of yards this year. How are you supposed to predict if Orlando Mare is going to have 800 yards worth of FG's?
It's dumb that kickers are even a part of the game let's not start making a completely random position any more important. You are talking about players who are all drafted in the last round except by stupid people and are pretty much added and dropped at will throughout the season
Posted on 11/14/11 at 7:50 am to TigerPhan27
if you're not going to create a scoring system that rewards kickers for distance, then you might as well scrap the position
i don't care if kickers are eliminated, but they are still a position and to keep the simplistic scoring system is stupid when every other position has scoring based on a sliding scale
to assume a 50 yard FG and a 18 yard FG are equal difficulty is just absurd

Nobody would argue that, but it's completely random. Is anyone going to draft a kicker based on his long distance oppourtunities?
