I wonder how accurate preseason rankings were last year

I think any program that just totals the stats of your roster is going to end up with goofy outcomes. If my bench is bat heavy then I could end up leading in R and RBI because the program just totals out as if every player plays everyday. Same with pitching.
Correct. And with that said, this is what my Team rankings look like, when using the Team Totals:
1 Rouge 4.7543
2 cwill 4.6728
3 LE 3.5096
4 sox 3.1982
5 Clams 2.4740
6 Rondo 2.1697
7 Redd 2.1632
8 Barry 1.1944
9 Gyno 0.3200
10 Knat 0.2792
11 Jew_T -0.2755
12 PCT -1.1770
13 rmc -4.0194
14 Earl -5.8893
15 Boo -7.5434
16 Honk -18.8502

That's fair.
The fact is we all have to manage our teams to be succesful. I'm probably only going to use 3-4 SP on most weeks, which is why my staff is so top heavy. Batting is a little different because most of the categories are determined on how much you can pile up where pitching is heavily weighed on percentages.

I'd like to defend Rouge' freese pick. He was on my radar and is an excellent hitter. The guy never hit below .300 in 4 years of minor league ball, I expect him to have a breakout year.
like i said, he had good Minor league numbers, but didnt flash the power you'd like your 3B to have in his time up lasts year before he got hurt.
i could totally be wrong about him. wouldnt be the first time
As for Belt, he will be better than Grace. That was just kind of a joke. He was probably the best hitting prospect in the draft. I didnt even realize he was in the pool so it shocked me to see him go #1

I'm not totally sold on a guy that barley has 250 PA above A ball.

Honkus, I will probably be accepting that offer... but I have to wait until I can put Johan on the DL.

He's won 3/4 of the TDBL championships?
Posted on 3/29/11 at 10:26 am to Lester Earl
I'm guessing it's his pitching, but he's got a lot of question marks up and down his roster.

Here are his projected variances:
HR -0.4605
OPS +0.1403
Runs +0.1892
RBI -0.1346
SB-CS -0.8122
ERA +0.5219
K/9 +1.0830
QS +0.1623
S-BS +2.1173
WHIP +0.3913
TOTAL +3.1982
It's basically his k/9 and S-BS that is carrying him.
