Some of our league members have requested to change the process of determining the draft order. Currently we allow individuals to choose their draft position in based upon the previous season's standings. The last place team chooses first, the 2nd to last place team chooses second, and so forth. The change that is being proposed is to switch to a draft lottery involving all 12 teams. The teams with the worst records would have the best chances of aquiring the highest picks, however they would not be guaranteed a particular pick. Are you in favor of changing to a lottery style draft?

Is it going to be like the nba lottery where only three teams get to win the lottery...and the rest are slotted according to record?

I thought it was a fair compromise. Karma wanted it to be totally random. This way, it's still weighted on record, but there's still a very small chance that a top team can secure one of the high picks, just unlikely.

Here are the 3 options the site offers:
Straight - Each team receives 1 ball in the lottery.
Weighted - Teams get lottery balls in inverse correlation to their place of finish.
Custom - You choose how many balls each team will receive in the lottery.
So we would either use weighted or custom. I think weighted is our best option.
