People want to sell out early because they think that's when they will get the most. Not the case IMO. Look at the keepers of the people who sold out

which is AGAIN. why it's total bullshite to then RE-REWARD people for selling out earlier by giving them first crack at draft picks order.

Agreed. The team that wins the league should pick first. Makes perfect sense!

i was just gonna vote for randomizing it. but hey.
in a way it does make sense.

Reward people for competing. All of the teams in the playoffs are gonna lose 2/3s off their team anyway (many of whom are keeper level players) , while non-competitive teams have been able to stockpile picks and consolidate their teams into the best keepers possible.

i think it sucks that you reward people for giving up early. They get rewarded by being able to start building for the future in advance, and then get rewarded again with first crack at rookies/non-kept players off of the contending teams in the re-draft.

i still don't see how people don't agree with me on this.

I'll the side over competing in the playoffs over having a pretty draft day all day.

This is a keeper league. I made the move so that I could compete in the future. You think people sell out because they just want to have a shitty team?

FWIW I am all for a lottery, not a complete random selection like you are proposing.

If you want to do it that way, then why not set a limit on how long you can keep someone? How would you feel about that?

i think that the advantage given to you in being able to start building for next year should negate ANOTHER advantage being given to you in giving you first pick in the re-draft.

you want to ruin this year for the sake of next? Fine.
But you can do it through keeper consolidation, and compiling of extra picks.

Not then be rewarded twice for this year's futility with prime draft position as well.

a keeper time limit has is completely irrelevant to whether or not you're doubly rewarding someone for being inept.

i'd be in favor of this. and that lottery should include all 12 teams.

if you want to debate that independent of what I'm saying, go ahead.

But it doesn't have a single relevancy to my argument.

It should, I agree. The team with the worst record still has the best chance of landing the top pick, but at least they aren't guaranteed it.

is there a website that would be able to do that? I think it would be pretty neat option to explore.

I think you have some good points. Like I said, I am fine with doing a lottery, but it's something that we will need to vote on in the off-season.
