Honestly Rick has been decent just about every year. I think the 1st year he was close to being a playoff team, and last year he was doing good until injurries. He had a good team this year but had some bad luck.
He's in no way been a Stout or anything.

Keeping Carlos Boozer killed me, considering I didn't have anything from him for the first two months. If he was the only one hurt on my roster, it wouldn't have hurt as much. But Kaman and Davis on the shelf for so long, along with Rondo, Wall, and Melo missing time here and there, it just crippled me. I learned a good bit and I'll be much better next year.

I told you this FWIW

Look at the keepers of the people who sold out
I didn't make trades to improve my keepers. I made trades to improve my draft position. I also waited as long as I could to sell off what I could.
Hell, the only guys I actually ended up moving were:
Nene
Favors
Hinrich
Kaman
Not exactly pieces to plan a future around.

Yeah, I know. A bunch of people did. Live and learn, I guess. I really didn't expect the other injuries to happen at the same time though. Guess I should have, given my history.

People want to sell out early because they think that's when they will get the most. Not the case IMO.
I don't believe this FWIW. I sold players when value was high. Devin Harris for a 2nd, Mo Williams for a 2nd, Gerald Wallace essentially for 2 2nds, etc.

Can't judge this until keepers are set. The picks I acquired in those trades will be able to acquire better keepers than those individual players.

lol.
You act like you knew their value would fall (which it really didn't). These are solid players who would have had more value closer to the deadline.
People sell out early because they are worried no one will be buying at the end due to people like the early sellouts.

Naw.
You'll be trading for guys like Harris, Williams, and Wallace to keep.

i'll likely sell 2-3 keepers off my team in the offseason

Keepers? Or guys like Dorell Wright and Ginobili?

I traded often injured players when they were healthy and producing.
Pretty smart for a team selling out.

Harris hasnt downgraded since you traded him IMO
Posted on 2/28/11 at 11:11 am to rondo
No he hasn't. And he ended up in the best situation possible with the deal to Utah.
Posted on 2/28/11 at 11:12 am to rondo
I think he meant Mo Williams. He knew his injury would linger all season
And Gerald Wallace would look pretty good on a few teams, as would Harris. They are better than the "keepers" SFP will trade off

Never said this bro, I just said all the trades I made were at a players peak value. Which is a fact.

Gerald Wallace landed in the worst situation for him. Portlands offense does not suit him whatsoever.
Harris is a nice keeper option, especially in Utah.

One things for sure...I will need to do some pick recouping!
Posted on 2/28/11 at 11:26 am to rondo
I'd be interested! But apparently I'm stuck with Dorrell Wright and Manu Ginobili

I wont be looking to move Pau, Smoove, Curry, Granger
Iggy, Harris, Blatche could all be had though.
