100 bucks to possibly be eliminated after one week? No thanks. Whole concept couldn’t possibly be more unappealing to me.

Probably isn’t a league for one with a loser mentality. I don’t think anyone who signed up has considered the 5% chance of being eliminated after week one. Titans like LE, boom, decker don’t know the word lose
Someone has to lose each week but the odds are always in the player’s favor

Yeah that’s a stupid mindset anyway. The reality is even in regular leagues there are teams that are pretty much out after the draft, they just don’t know it yet
So they stick around with the hope they can turn around their 1-4 start.
My only thought is that it might be interesting to do 16 or 17 teams with no one eliminated the first week or two.
That way after teams realize where they are in the pecking order it would be a mad scramble trying to trade or add in FA trying to improve to avoid getting cut first when the cuts start, which could be pretty fun.
Would also give everyone more than one week so those loser mentality types don’t feel so butthurt

Definitely gonna be fun since after 5 rounds you’ll be throwing darts for quality starters. Whoever hits like with Jefferson or JRob last year will move on while people that drafted less than stellar players in the later rounds will be out
Then how much FAAB to use week 1 to help improve team will definitely play into strategy.
I think there’s more strategy involved in this type league versus other leagues unless you’re eliminated in the first 3-4 weeks.
I know in a league like this I hope the randomizer gives me picks 1-3 or picks 16-18

Voodoo, you mention trades - I currently have them enabled but I’m thinking we don’t allow trading. That’s what the big money leagues do. I don’t think we want to leave the door open for shitty trades to impact the league. There will be ample opportunity to improve with the FAAB

Ah gotcha that makes sense.
So with 18 teams and 14 roster spots that’s 252 players off the board. That means the waiver wire will be basically bare until after teams start getting eliminated, so it really is all about the draft to survive early.

Also, is this best ball type scoring? Or do you have to set a lineup and you can miss out on bench points?
