That is the waiver wire. I believe you get first dibs.

I haven't looked yet, but all undrafted players normally go to a waiver wire, that may be locked for a couple of days, then you can claim them and waive one of your players in return. If its a player that say just gets a 400 yard game in pre-season, then they will go by a tie breaker on who has first dibs. Normally onc the season starts the team with the worst records gets the priority on claims

Let me rephrase my last answer b/c it was poorly worded - the opponent ranking means this:

My QB, Jay Cutler has a "32th" next to his name - that means that whatever team that the Bears are playing are ranked 32nd against passing, so that's a very good matchup for my QB.

But one of my running backs, Reggie Bush, has a "3rd" in that category, b/c the Saints opponent is 3rd in the NFL against the run, so it's a bad matchup for Bush.

This is something you should take into account when setting your roster each week. As I said before, green matchups are good for you, red isn't.

But the first week, before anyone has a record, you get 1st priority b/c you had the last pick in the draft.

I meant before the season starts. You had last pick in the first round. In some leagues, that gives you first dips on whatever free agent before the season starts.

After the season starts, the worse performing team gets first dibs and the claims go backwards.

Gotta be honest man, the rest of the league might think we are colluding if I accepted that offer. Gonna have to get a lot sweeter...

Do we need a concensus from the league to make trades?

Every team had to approve any trade in all my previous leagues. How are our rules set?

I'm afraid it's going to cost me my job, my relationship, and all my friends. All I can do or talk about is fantasy stuff

I'm hooked.

I believe we need 5 vetoes to kill a trade

*ETA - just checked, actually it will only take 4 votes

it will actually benefit the men in your life, that is, if you like real men.

np, worth a shot, but alot sweeter not going to happen, depth is a luxury few can afford in a 14 man league, 2 pass catching starting RB's and a high targeted WR for a RB1 is fair. diversification versus eggs in one basket, single injury(time off) killer

Yeah, depth is going to be a problem - the problem with the trade was not necessarily the RB1, but the RB3 and WR2 that you wanted along with it. I'll look more into it and see if there's a counter I like

I don't know how to be strategic with trades. Y'all have an unfair advantage over me and CFB (the rookies).

It's not that hard - look at a guy you want - look at his owner and the rest of the owner's team - see if that owner has a weak area that you may be able to fill, and make an offer - be prepared for a counter-offer though. And once you receive the counter-offer, the only logical thing to do is to start a "Should I accept this trade?" thread on the fantasy board.
