Without that safety valve slot guy to move the chains we gonna see a different pats offense. They dont have the guys to go even 4 wide right now. Much less the vaunted empty back set. And with the d struggling I think we gonna see a lot more of burkhead.
Posted on 9/7/17 at 11:59 pm to Boomshockalocka
With you on burkhead, I liked what I saw when they brought him out wide in the RZ.
Posted on 9/7/17 at 11:59 pm to Boomshockalocka
I'm holding Burkhead one more week but that's it. Seems like it will just be the Gilly/White show all year depending on game script

That's great! How many points do you get for those stats, G?

I saw Davante, ARob and Kennan Allen.
Higan had hype last year and laid an egg. He will do the same this year. Je will have a couple of big games thougg, but you will have no idea whem to start him.

Ben Volin of the Boston Globe doesn't see Chris Hogan as an obvious replacement for Julian Edelman (knee) in the slot. The Patriots are missing 158 targets from last season with Edelman out and while Hogan does have some experience in the slot, Volin still sees him as more of a deep threat. Danny Amendola's skill set is more similar to Edelman's, though Volin doesn't expect him to play more than 20-25 snaps per game. Rather than finding a replacement for Edelman in the slot, Volin believes the Patriots will adjust their scheme with James White, Dion Lewis and Dwayne Allen all likely to see an "uptick" in targets. I like to go to the local guys for my info. Depending on Amendola "the China cabinet" and how long he lasts in the concussion protocol, I definitely see an uptick for him in the coming weeks.
But, again, I do not see him as a WR2 or mid WR3 at eoy.
We really need to slow our roll on this guy right now and find better options on our benches. He's possibly a flex starter against the Saints next weekend; but that D is improved, as well this year. And the dome will be rocking!

Did you not see the game? 3.5 points in PPR

Ok, man. I've been on this board for two years now. Not as long as you. But if you want to talk seriously about guys without bias for whoever you have a hard on for, then let's do it.
Quit speaking in tongues. I watched the last 2 quarters and Hogan was silent. What is with you asking me questions that don't pertain to what I just posted?
If you're being a sarcastic bitch, it's expected. But I think you're a smart guy, so let's just discuss. Deal?

Holy shite
Can you contradict yourself anymore? How scared are you of being wrong?

If the train is permantely derailed, who cares? I got Hogan in the 10th. Took him over guys like Wallace, Blount, Britt, Stewart, Marvin Jones.
No one drafted him as a WR2. He was going as an upside WR3/4 IMO
This. He's at worst an easy drop for a better waiver wire add. I'm pretty sure I got him in the 10th round or later in every league I grabbed him in. Could I maybe have gotten someone better, sure, but I'll give it a couple of weeks before I make the call one way or the other while he rides my bench. In the meantime, in all the leagues I took Hogan in, I also somehow ended up with Tyreek Hill, Kareem Hunt, or both... so not hating life either way. :)

I will say I'm feeling a little sad that I probably will come out on the wrong side of a coin flip for this week. Jameis = my starter in one league so had to grab a backup. Was between Bradford and Alex Smith (pretty deep league and lots of backups drafted... Bortles was next "best" option)... Pretty sure Bradford's not giving me 30+ points this weekend.

Lulz
Three threads of me warning against Hogan
Where were you in this thread?
And this one?
We all know where you were in this cluster frick!
Yes, obviously Hogan gets a bigger bump with Amendola in the concussion protocol. But as you "play it safe" with your bullshite; I'm making pretty accurate predictions.
Suck it up, Nancy. I'm always here though, if you want to talk. I'm trying really hard to take you seriously!

Only a clown with a serious inferiority complex needs to bump their cryptic, fence riding posts after one week. We can all take a soft stance and operate under the guise of being correct
As I tell em all, come find me at the conclusion of the season. I will be here to give props if you make a nice call, and I will eat any bad call I make
as of now you are a windbag blowhard, bringing little to the table. It's only the first game, let's see if you rebound

Do you want me to bump the Blount thread from last year? All I'm trying to tell you and others is to SLOW DOWN on Hogan. The guy literally reminds me of Torrey Smith; just not as good.

I did with Blount. I'm not saying I don't agree with you on a lot of things, Gyne. I'm asking for an open discussion about these differences to help each other and the rest of the board.

No. You're not. Ala Blount. Ala Hogan this week.
quote:

No. I'm simply someone who disagreed STRONGLY with you about Hogan this week! And disagreed STRONGLY with you about Blount last year. The same guy who Gissille will replicate this year.
quote:
It's only the first game, let's see if you rebound
Truthfully. Me or you?
ETA NOTHING "cryptic" about my take on Hogan this week. It's in black and white! And I linked them all.

I already asked you once to bump the Blount thread and you wouldn't. so bump the damn thing ya?
And I never said shite about hogan this week. I mean frick it's right there, the whole thread is about season long. No mention on KC. I never told anyone to start or sit him
You went and rode the fence and called the dude the 36th best PPR WR, dude scores 3.5 points and you now actin like he's unrosterable and you called it lol. On top of your useless Kareem hunt drivel! By god.. get some rest you had too many drinks at dinner

Lol. Ok. Same guys in that Blount thread knighting for Hogan this week! You can't make it up! It's like you guys truly believe you can predict coach BB! Lmao
Call me crazy for Lesean McCoy being a top 5 back, right?

He's in the game on every play This is the game flow you want It's the 2Q
Lmao! What kind of flow did you want from a guy with 13 receiving yards tonight? Are you telling the rest of the world that we will find some gem from a guy on the field ALL THE frickING TIME, but can't catch a pass? (Seems like some fantasy gold right there.) Where can I get me someuhdat?

Right. You took the easy way out and ragged the frick out of me for disagreeing with you!

Nah man. I'm saying he's a top WR4 this year. The lowest possible WR3. Never said he was unrosterble. Never said he sucked. All I've said was he's about a Torrey Smith! He is fantasy relevant and has VALUE! And good fricking luck trying to figure that out! That's it.
Link where I've said he wasn't rosterbale. DO IT! Because now you're making up shite and spinning so fast after you've probably doomed MANY onthis board's week 1 after kinighting for this dude all week long!
shite; you're trying to post goddamn statistics of where the hell Hogan lined up tonight 70% of the time to save face on this.
And you have some problem with me? You're pissed off at me for taking the other side? The side that said he wouldn't do shite this week or be anymore than a high WR4 or low WR3 for the year?
Jesus, man. You think you're so all knowing about this stuff; but you repeatedly frick people over with your bullshite.
quote:
On top of your useless Kareem hunt drivel! By god.. get some rest you had too many drinks at dinner
Dude, I drafted Hunt in one league this year. And good for me; it was a best ball league. He scored for me tonight, I NEVER have to start him, so go find someone else to swindle. You're fools gold!

Just wanted to learn you something?
That quote? The one trying to talk me out of a RB1 with EIGHTEEN TDs at the end of the draft? A guy going undrafted in most? I also called Shady last year.
But give your props, bro! I'm just hoping people don't take you seriously as would ruin their chances for a playoff run, which if you look at Gore's numbers last year, he produced enough in the first half of the year to get me into the playoffs. I found better options at the eoy to win me the trophy.
But laugh, baw. There's a method to my madness.
Dude, seriously, you're a try hard. Hopefully, the rest of the guys can see it now.

You learned that belli's RB have a defined role.
It allowed you to hammer Blount last year as the GL and lead back
You know white and Lewis are your pass catchers
And now you can carry over Blounts role to gillislee
It's small potatoes to some bc it's common knowledge but it's paying off for you obviously
