Thoughts?

I don’t have any without knowing what the rest of your roster looks like, or how many teams are in your league

Why trade a 1st for Kupp if you’re bottom of the barrel?

Yeah I was going to say you are completely middle ground with that team, so 5th/10 makes sense

I think you need to evaluate your team a little. For a 10 teamer, there are likely 4 or 5 teams with better RBs.. possibly 6

You’re bottom 3rd at WR (being generous)

And you don’t have a top 5 TE

I’m not too sure how long you’ve been at it with this team, but I would accelerate the rebuild if you own your own 2021 1st

You’ll hate yourself for it when the 2022 draft comes

Abso-fricking-lutely not. He's after your 1st because, looking at your team, he probably expects it to be an early first next season. And next seasons draft is likely to be heavy at the top and fall off quickly.

And Kupp isn't a spring chicken either as he'll be 28 when the season starts. Booker is just a guy.

He's trying to rip you off.

I let it expire. I made a late season trade last year for Golladay and Ekeler expecting to have them back for the playoffs- when their return got delayed, it killed me.

10 team league, PPR, going into 8th season.

I have 3 championships in my trophy case already.

Now, those players who helped me win championships aged and I started a project at the end of the 2018 season and 2019 offseason to sell them off at peak value in exchange for 2021 draft picks. This was two drafts prior, so of course the picks I was asking for were like putting it on a credit card for my trade partners. Players like David Johnson, Todd Gurley, Melvin Gordon, Kenny Golladay, Antonio Brown and Deshaun Watson, thank you for your service.

I decided to play the long game and be patient, all the while knowing I want to build a future juggernaut. I came dangerously close to finishing dead last in 2020 and having to complete a punishment, but it was well worth it.

This project has netted me picks 1,2,3,4 (yep, the top four picks), 8,10,12,20 and 27.
I’m going to load the F up.

This haul is on top of what I already have: Kyler Murray, Leonard Fournette, AJ Dillon, Chris Godwin, Deontae Johnson, George Kittle, CeeDee Lamb and Parris Campbell.

Not gonna come close to last again for a long, long time.

Just made a trade today.
I gave Terry McLaurin and a 5th round draft pick for Jarvis Landry, Miles Gaskin, and Eno Benjamin.

I feel great about the trade, though every dynasty calculator says I’m stupid.

You shouldn’t unless

- RBs are impossible to come by in your league
- McLaurin was your WR5

They are, David Montgomery just went for Sam Darnold, Donovan Peoples-Jones,, Antoine Winfield, Year 2021 Draft Pick 2.02; Year 2022 Round 1. And people in the league thought he gave Montgomery away.

I need to use my 1st on a QB in the coming draft, my 2nd is a late round pick, so I won’t sniff a RB that has a chance to compete for a starting job in the draft.

Plus I have Curtis Samuel and Chase Edmunds. So, mine line of thinking is Curtis is going to take targets away from Terry. And I was securing my Arizona backfield. My current RBs aren’t very good Chase was my number 2 last year.

Lastly I have Michael Thomas, Brandon Aiyuk, Curtis Samuel, and Darnell Mooney.

The league I’m in is a SuperFlex, PPR, and IDP with 50 man roster and 10 men taxi squads. So there is very little available on waivers.

Gaskin might be worthless the rest of his career. Very possible Miami drafts Harris or Etienne. Even if they don’t, he’s not a sure thing to be a lead back next year. McLaurin is a stud. I think the calculators are right.
