One source tells PFT that Gordon’s suspension won’t be zero, due to other factors. Possibly complicating matters is that the positive triggering the one-year suspension occurred on March 5, six days before the date on which the league year began.

good god talk about bad luck.

So basically if he was tested six days later, he would be starting Sunday

. This isn't going away

bet it does

so you think a player who is suspended for 10 games but shouldn't be due to testing positive under antiquated rules that no longer apply will sit back and accept it without any fight? while he certainly may, I highly doubt he will

this is the case, it still is quite shitty since it wouldn't be a failed test under the new policy.

He's lucky to even be getting a reduced sentence, as is.

how so? under the new rules it wouldn't be a failed test thus no suspension warranted. he's lucky to not be punished for the full sentence of no longer existing rules? That's dumb. Oh wait, I just realized I'm in contention with Lester Earl. I should've known

Everytime I click on this thread the mood is completely different.

I'll click and see he's immediately reinstated. Next time I click on it, it's 6-10 games. Click on it again and it's immediate reinstatement again. Then it's 4 games

So since he failed the test before the cut off, he is subject to the old testing levels, but because he was sentenced after the cut off he is subject to the new reduced punishment?

We should only have about an hour or two before we find out for real what's up. Everything else is meaningless conjecture. Assuming the reporters aren't fricking up the time of the conference call too.

No, you won't. lol.

I still think this part means Gordon will be free to play starting this Sunday.

It's going to come down to timing & him being a repeat offender.

He failed a test under the old rules. I don't know what world you live in that would make it acceptable to just throw that out because they made new laws. So yes, i consider him lucky. I consider them all lucky.

That's like you getting a DWI because you blew .09(shite, you might not have even been drunk!!), but the next year they change the law making .10 the threshold. Do you think they would go back and erase your DWI? Come the frick on.

I get that everyone wants him back on their fantasy team, but in real life it makes no fricking sense

I'm just reading that part as is. At this point, as long as he's reinstated within 0-6 games, I'm happy.

Re: Gordon, now a 10-game suspension. How does he have a 4th violation if last failed test is no longer positive? So bizarre.
