Sports Betting just passed both bills in the House and Senate. Should be legal on mobile in September.
I wouldn't be surprised if BOTH are green light at the exact same time now. I've been saying August-Sept from the start

Week 17 championships are just as equal as any other week. But I don't play in cuck leagues like yourself.

No chance this ever happens. IF they allow it at all it’ll only be at truck stops, casinos and crawfish farms or whoever pays off the slimeball legislatures kickbacks to get it implemented in their establishments. It won’t ever be just on mobile for citizens

Mobile the easiest to green light so it'll be very soon.

I don't remember what article I read it in, but I saw last week that the language in the bill had been changed to allowv issuing of temporary licenses to ensure things are ready for football season.
I'll try to find the article, but it mentioned mobile betting possibly going live as soon as July 1.

@LouisianaGov
has signed the bill enacting the regulations for legalized sports betting in Louisiana. Next up, the Gaming Control Board will need to establish its rules, licensing plans, etc. #lalege #lagov

Does this make all sports gambling legal via phone apps or would you have to go to a sportsbook at a casino? I assume daily fantasy like Draft Kings is also included?
Posted on 6/23/21 at 5:28 am to Phate
It's gonna be full-fledged mobile sports betting, so, yes, you'll be able to bet from your phone.
Daily fantasy should be up and running within the next month or two.

If I had a dollar for every time I heard that....

Yep, I know. An Associated Press reporter tweeted the "month or two" info last week. Hopefully it's true, this time.

Sports betting will be after DFS. Yahoo sports has pulled its application for a license. FanDuel has no way to pass all the checks right now. The only license to vote on is Draftkings and I think the vote is June 28th.
The problem is the state police are doing the same background checks as it would if you owned a casino and applied for a license. They do not understand that this is player vs player.

So if vote passes then we are in business the same day?
Posted on 6/26/21 at 8:00 pm to Benny The Jet
That’s my understanding. I can’t remember what the 28th was. Either a deadline or a vote. I’m pretty sure a vote for DK.
